Well we've made it and now and 6days into our tour of the UKs paranormal hotspots. Our first night was spent with Richard Felix at his amazing atmospheric Derby Gaol. Richard was kind enough to do a history talk with me while Lucy got ready for the night investigation in Annabelle. It was great to be sat talking to Richard on camera again as the last time was about 17 yeards ago when we filmed Ghosts of Gloucestershire together over a 3 day period. We had a great night inside Derby Gaol but you will have to wait and see if we caught anything paranormal!
After a sleep outside the Gaol we hit the road for an hour and a half to stay over at a campsite to get Annabelle fully charged for a few days in Manningtree and Mistley. Lucy had never been here before and knew nothing about the area . She has had some amazing hits here starting from driving through the town centre but all this will be revealed in the final edit when we begin putting all of this project together. Prior to arriving here we had to do a stop off at the site of Borley Rectory just to see where Harry Price and Peter Underwood did their investigations into the hauntings of this famous site.
Manningtree and Mistley have been a fantastic few days we had to extend our stay as unfortunately Lucy developed a severe cold and sore throat so we spent our last night in Mistley in the former Inn that was purchased by Matthew Hopkins from an inheritance. Here he held his first witch trials we believe the room we stayed in was on the same floor the women were held before being taken to the ponds in the village. The former Inn is now the Mistley Thorn Hotel.
Next stop Pluckley and Hastings.............
